With the company’s impressive expansion, the growth in painfully repetitive and burdensome day-to-day tasks also exploded. As a result, employees’ morale suffered as they tried to cope with cross-system copying, comparison, and entering data into the accounting systems while ensuring accuracy.
Additionally, the critical but laborious task of verifying licensed pharmacists required a minimum of 90 hours a month. Employees had to manually enter the pharmacists’ pictures, enter data, and complete the procedures needed for the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
On top of that, in the finance department, account applications needed approval while account permissions were granted according to the job responsibilities and business needs of Jointown’s employees.
Each approval request took at least two hours because of the two paths: existing account or no existing account. It also involved an extensive series of steps, including generating an account, adding a user, entering basic information, assigning relevant permissions, reviewing approval requests, and checking phone numbers.
